At the 2006 Carey/Cary Family reunion interesting and exciting information about the use of DNA testing as an important tool in genealogy was presented. Several attendees expressed interest in the process.   As a result of that interest, the Carey DNA project has been started.  At this early stage we want to provide information about the process and to encourage interested family members consider becoming involved. Our project is open to any Carey/Cary male or anyone who believes he is descended from a Carey/Cary male.  Hopefully, individuals from all parts of the USA, Canada, Australia, Ireland, Scotland, and England will consider participating in this exciting process.

Initially the Carey Project will be run on the website that it was started on at www.worldfamiles.net. They have worked closely in the past with Family Tree DNA ,whom we will be using as a testing company, and hopefully this will help facilitate our own project.
